New to Jags by way of the wife, 2000 S-type 4.0
Wife sent me an ad for a car her friend was selling, saying she really liked how it looked. Ended up buying it.
Her friend spent quite a bit of money in maintenance etc and upgraded to a new car since she has to pay out of pocket for all repairs which is costly on a 17 year old car.
So far easy to work on, started misfiring on the way home (lol) but I got a good deal on it and it only has 125k kilometers on the clock.
Got all new plugs, COPs, valve cover gaskets and secondary tensioners on the way. Got to also pop the front portion of the side skirt on, clips are all still there. Previous owner mentioned it happened from the deep snow that accumulates in the back alley behind her house.
First Jag we've ever owned, and even while it was misfiring it's way home, we're already hooked!

Welcome to the forum unpredictable1,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
I can see you've already found your way to the S-Type forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
Enjoy the forums.
