So yeah like the title says very new to Jaguars I didnt purchase one yet but a thought crossed my mind about the Xtype so I did a little bit of research online about the XType as this is the only model of Jag that I like how it looks I am actually a very big fan of Mazdas because they are thinking different beautiful design and the rotary engine as opposed to Hondas and Toyotas But decided to move up a little into the more luxury class Dont want a BMW or a Benz because everybody has one well you see more of them instead of the Jags right So that is how I ended up looking into the Jaguar

Now I want something fairly quick ONLY manual transmission and good looking like the Xtype oh and reasonable price around 15 thousand dollars I saw that Jaguar does have the Xtype with a 3L V6 and 5SP manual which I think is the best I can get for the money right? I did notice that they are kind of rare especially the 3L V6 with manual tranny Is there any other things I need to know before I get ready to look for one and buy it? Are the Jags reliable? Is there any way to customize the Xtype to make it quicker maybe get it down to 0-60 in around 5.5 sec? Maybe an engine swap from an Stype or something

I am pretty good with cars and have done an engine swap on my 97 Chevy Blazer and replaced it with a 2000 Blazer engine and an engine swap for my cousin on his 92 Mazda MX-3 it had a 1.8L V6 and was swapped out to a 2.5L V6 very fun car now So fixing a Jag X-type for me would be even better than affording one that is in immaculate mechanical condition. Something like a blown engine or what not and while at it doing the more powerful engine swap.

So no ideas on my jaguar decision??? Any engine swaps into the X-type possible/attempted by anyone? I was thinking the S-Type R engine (the 4.2L supercharged V8) would make the X-type a VERY fast car, but the question is... Is that possible with no major modifications? Just an idea that I came upon
