Welcome to the forum, Nik. It sounds like you have done some subtle things to your car already. After 8 years of ownership, you should know it pretty well Come on over to the XK8/XKR section and tell us more.

Same colour combo as my last 2001 XK8 but looks a lot tidier!

Are those Myrtle Productions door caps?

Thanks Graham

With regards to the door cappings ..... yes and no , they are the prototypes made to see if were feasible and then veneered by Myrtle , if that makes sense

All the best ,

Perfect sense. Myrtle have redone a leather covered steering wheel in elm to match a dashboard and refinished an inlaid door capping for me. They're prepared to tackle anything in veneer.

Your XK8 caps look a beautiful job.

Hi Two Jags ,
I originally had 18" Flutes but hankered for a set of Detroits but thought that my puny calipers might look ridiculous behind them , then I came across a brand new set of Sepangs and fell in love with them , I have since bought a new full sized Sepang spare and fitted Brembo brakes to complete the transformation ,

All the best ,

Nik
