Default New Jaguar XE

We just bought a new Jaguar XE -- the base model. I have to say, Jaguar was not really on my radar, only the other Europeans (BMW, Mercedes, Audi). I didn't even know Jaguar has a compact until I saw some ad. We just went into check it out out of curiosity, and ended up buying one!

What I like: the interior design and the driving -- and the rarity! I know that the interior has received a lot of criticism. And it is true that the interior materials are somewhat subpar. I wish some of the glossy black plastic had been wood. But that doesn't take away from the design itself, which we like better than some of the competitors -- that is subjective, of course. The drive is just great. The electronics also works well, no issues -- perhaps the software was updated in the newest cars?

What I don't like: keyless entry is only available in the top trim. Our previous car had keyless entry, and that is something we really miss.

congrats on the new acquisition and welcome!

Jaguar, too, wasn't even on our radar when searching for our next vehicle.. But, wife saw an XF and wanted to look into them..

We drove it, loved it, but weren't quite ready to go back to a sedan, so we ordered the F-Pace to replace our MDX..

We also moved from Acura to Jaguar. I have to say the F-Pace looks very interesting. I'm not much into SUVs, but perhaps the F-Pace is the one that could change my opinion.
