Bought my first Jag after wishing for one for 30 years. Decided it was time to do something for me.😄

My "new" Jag is a 2000 XK8. Had a few surprises when I got it home and had time to really go over the car. Side mirror controller not working, parking brake non functional, but gosh I love driving the car. Just terribly irritated that I immediately need to take it in to pay for repairs.

I am thrilled to have found this site and to be a part of the Jaguar users forum.

Unless there definitely is a mechanical fault, I think we've already given you the information about the Park Brake. The door mirror switches do occasionally fail but make sure you are using the selector rocker correctly before assuming it's dead.

I know you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
