Default New to JaguarForums...

Greetings from Ireland

I have been lurking looking for answers to a few issues for a little while on this great forum, so thought it was time I joined up.
I have two jags, an xjs which I've had for 10 years (80000 miles) and a newly acquired 2003 x350 xjr (77000 miles).

I bought the xjr around 4 months ago and unlike a few new owners descriptions of their cars its not perfect and has a few issues.... but hey its a 15 year old supercar!
The xjs is pretty sound and I've completed quite a few jobs on it but there's still a few things I haven't got round to after owning it for so long!
I love them both.

Have learn't a lot already on here, such a large and diverse collection of members with a great knowledge base.

Welcome to the forum Chris,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums. Great cars but I don't envy you the Eire taxes on those two!

It sounds like you've already found your way to the XJS and X350 forums so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of each is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Thanks for the welcomes
Yes Graham, road tax hear for large engined cars doesn't encourage Jag ownership.
Only one on the road at any one time, if that!
Still in 4 years the annual tax on my XJS (when it becomes 'vintage') goes from 1809 to 88 Euro a year!
Go figure...

Chris,

We have a similar scheme for 'historic' vehicles (forty or more years old). In the UK the tax for this category is zero.

Hello, Paddy,
Congratulations on your Latest Jaguar!

That's the thing about used 'super cars;' former owners seem to drive them as they were intended to be driven! After you get it all sorted you'll be able to take over where that person left off!

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
