New kid
Hi guys I'm Dudley from Cape town South Africa.
My car is a 1999 S type 4.0 v8.
I recently bought it and did a service a while back on it.
The oil I used is Total Ineo ecs 5w30 fully synthetic.
I've onli realised afterwards that it is a diesel oil with low saps. Question is will this demage my engine witch has
onli 55k milea on it or should it be fine till next oil change.
Please help I'm stressing myself out here..

Welcome to the forum Dudley,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
The diesel spec oil detergents may loosen any built up sludge in the engine but its lubricating qualities will be adequate and 5W-30 is the preferred viscosity.

Thank you Graham.
The engine has been redone completely after car has been standing for 10 years. That was about 3000miles ago. So hopefully not to much sludge in it.
would you suggest I change the oil and filter agn or just drive it till next service? And then witch oil would you recomend? Books said semi synthetic but is fully not the better way there?
