My Name is Torsten from Germany. My wife is looking for a XJ since she can drive. So, after buying me a 2011 Mustang and start doing any kind of service and repairs on our cars, it was time for my wife. I purchased a 2008 XJ 4.2 LWB with 128.000Km, with the must features green, beige Leather and a Leaper.
First things first. I was changing all fluids und flushing the engine 3 times, new Spark plugs and filters. The car is running and shifting great! But is still a 2008 Jag. So, there are some things to do.
1.) the Climate driver seat (the most important part for my wife)
2.) two rear parking sensors
3.) the clove box doesnt close
4.) the left mirror stopped flipping down when using reverse
5.) the masking under the car is broken
6.) the clear coat at the rear Windows frame is broken
7.) and the suspension at all, is little too weak for me and need an update. No PU, still new parts.
8.) new brake lines
9.) new rear brake pads and rotors.
So there are lot of points to discuss and I can give you hopefully some of my experiences. Most of the Jag Documents are already downloaded. But there is still room for more.
