Hi all

I am about to purchase a brand new XKR having owned 2 XF's and being a member on the XF forum for 4 years.

My local dealer found me a new XKR in Black with Black wheels, Speed pack, Black pack and an option of a different exhaust.

Its taken a week for the car to be delivered to the dealer from another dealer and when I saw the car I was somewhat confused. It did not have red break callipers so I am not sure if its a Dynamic R coupe?

Could it be an old model? Its not registered and I don't know the date of manufacture. The XKR I first saw when I visited the dealer had red break callipers and from memory looked slightly different with the body kit, but that car is no longer at the dealers for me to compare.

Any help would be appreciated as I would like the correct fact before I question the dealer as its going to be on a 14 plate.

Welcome to the Ronniewales,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Follow this link Jaguar XK Dynamic R Convertible | Sports Car to Jaguar UK web page on the XK Dynamic R.

If you scroll through the spec, you'll see this for the brakes:

High Performance brakes with red brake calipers
Jaguar's High Performance Braking System with 380mm front discs delivers a confident, progressive feel and powerful braking performance. Features aluminium calipers in red.

That would suggest it's not the XK Dynamic R the dealer has sourced. Let us know how you get on.

Enjoy the forums.

Ronnie,

It's looking like XKR-S was the previous model.

Jaguar Newsroom shows a January availability for the XK Dynamic R. Plenty of information available for download from this link:
