I've been a member for several years in a lurking capacity.
I have a 88 xj-sc that I have owned for about 12-13 years has'nt been started or driven in about 9 of those years so is in sad state of affairs
Have been accumulating parts to finish what started out as a repaint involving a color change from blue to red.
After sitting for 10 years paint, upholstry new cloth on all 3 tops, redo wood the works. Yah I no ambitious as he!! but after 35+ years in the collision repair and restoration of vehicles I know what I'm getting into. Nice thing is now that I'm semi-retired and have joined the entitlement crowd (SS) I might actually enjoy this project.
I have even sourced a 94 my 6 liter engine so thinking of switching it out for the 5.3. Big maybe!! depends on how extensively I'm able to pick the collective wisdom of this site.

Welcome to Jaguar Forums
Hi Wayne ... warm welcome and greetings from down under.
Several quick bits of advice ...
Ken
Several quick bits of advice ...
- go to User CP on forum main menu then down to Edit signature to include lasting details of your Jag by year, model, engine, trans etc ... to ensure that advice you receive is always accurate for your car;
- check out the XJ specific forum to ensure you have all the latest downloads of manuals, wiring diagrams and other resources specific to your VIN#;
- using this same XJ section, use the Search tool to scan all previous threads and posts for any problem issue.

Welcome to the forum Wayne,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
Follow Norri's link in post #3 to the XJS forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
Enjoy the forums.
