Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Just got a 2005 XK8 from CA. Black with Tan leather. Rescued it from a dealer that drove it around with it shifting at 4k+. I saw the brake lights were always on. Bought the car. They were happy they sold a car that they believed needed a tranny. (Talked to the owner who traded it in after I bought it). I'm happy because as soon as I got off the lot, I went down the street and pulled the Brake Switch pigtail apart. Shifted perfectly. Went straight to Jag dealer and had them safety check the car and replace the switch. Back in IL now and going through all the mechanicals and maintenance. Starting from the rear and moving forward. So far new rear wheel bearings and U-joints, lower arm pivot bearings, Pinion seal. Brakes, rotors, sway arm links .. . . . . will keep going till I reach the nose and then start working on the Cal. sun bleached interior.
2nd Jag in my life. First was a 52 XK120 barn find a long time ago.
Built a FFR Cobra Kit car - Took me 6 Months.
