I'm a new member here, but have used this site many times prior to this to get info.

My Jag is a 1997 XK8 Convertible, 70,000 miles, with some of the more typical, and annoying, non critical mechanical problems. Last 6 are 002446, so mine was one of the first. As memory serves, it was built in the fall of '96.

I'm in BC Canada, an eastern burb of Vancouver.

I have over 3.5 million miles of safe driving in much bigger vehicles.

Welcome to the forum Katitud,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I had to Google "Chilliwack" - spectacular scenery.

I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

You can also visit the Canada Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/canada-73/
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Thanks Graham and Grant. Yes I've already surfed this site many times, so I know my way around. Can't say the same about British engineering, but trust me, compared to a semi it's not so bad. lol

Thank you to all that has welcomed me.

I'm going down across the border tomorrow to pick up some new wheels for my XK8. Much cheaper to order them online and have them put on down there than up here in Canada. I'm saving my stock wheels for mounting snows on. And why bother paying a load of tax on the way back for the new ones. Amazing how an invoice can be made for a much cheaper amount for my original wheels that I just picked up lol.
