Odd duck situation here... First, I am a retired US Army, Sergeant Major... I am a 50's Ford Nut... Shhhhh... But, we found a 1954 XK140 behind a house.
The woman was having a roof put on... The car was in the way. It had sat in the spot for 17 years, was her dads since new..
Numbers are.. Chassis. A815035DN. .. Body # J 3510. ... Transmission 32787CR. .... Engine #.5764-8
Any info on this critter will be much appreciated... It is a Coupe.... White.... Wiring is a mess. Mechanic that worked on it years ago was actual meatball..
Wood floor is decent. Chassis is beautiful. Body has dents.. Not bad. Doors have rust, door panels are a mess. Wood grain dash is a mess... Seats, tan leather, are pretty darn nice. Tomorrow I will take pics. Will have to fight with the meatball wiring in a day or so.. We cranked it over.. It cranks. But no power to the coil.
Can not wait to hear it fire up. When it starts, my bud wants to hear it run. Then, it goes up for sale. I have a fair idea of the value, now and restored... Having restored many Fords (pardon my language) .. over the last 60 or so years.... I am very familiar with this stuff... Wish me luck... Top

Well... New battery and a bunch of fiddling and cussin..... Got the Jag running.... My goodness, it runs great... Sure has guts. We were totally shocked how well it ran... NO smoke at all...
Darn thing is ready now to list for sale. Now we can give honest info on the engine. Mileage is just over 24,000.. Clutch needs a bit of adjusting. Tomorrow...
How do I list this critter for sale..?? Needs restoration of course, but... I would not hesitate to use it as a driver... Just needs brakes fiddled with. We put fluid in.. Nothing leaked. So, guess they need bleeding...
Again, body # J 3510 -- Would this be a late Car or early for 1954 ?
Watch for pics...... Need to use my PC....

Howdy....
Take a peek.... On your site.... on the VENDOR area... It said something about only putting 2 listings on there... You might need to clarify the instructions on there for placing ads... Messed me up.. Sorry about that..
