New Member 1965 MK X
Hi my name is Rich and we are the owner of a 1965 MK X, it is actually a pretty nice car and very little rust which is great, I am 46 and mess around with misc. old cars. Since I live in USA California I have the hot weather which has helped in preserving this old Jaguar. It has a 350 V8 Conversion that was done years ago but otherwise all stock. The original Owner was Yvonne De Carlo in 1965 so there is some unique History with the vehicle. Should I go back to the original Engine or just leave it as is? Thanks a lot for the input

Welcome to the forum Rich,
Good to have you here with us at Jaguar forums.
Got to see pics. The Mk X is getting to be a very rare sight anywhere and values are creeping up. If you're keeping it for your own enjoyment, it doesn't matter what engine is fitted but for maximum value, it would have to have a Jaguar straight six refitted.
Follow this link Mark V - X 420G - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the MK V - X section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Western Region section by following this link Western US - AK CA NV OR UT HI WA ID - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forum.

Yeah its kinda cool the car came with original paperwork showing the Id# etc. The Jag Warranty paperwork with her name and signature showing her bank name etc. I am working on getting another 60's Mk X that is all stock..
As for De Carlo she was at the top of her Game I guess in 1965 and had the Flow for the car I guess she had several Jaguars over the years. As a Hollywood Actress she new about Style.
