New Member - 1975 XJ6C "Daimler-ized"
In Palm City Florida. Guess the "Daimler-ized" needs explaining. When I bought the car (off EBay) 12 years ago the former owner added all the parts, emblems, badging, chrome grill and truck lift, etc. to make this XJ6C look like a Daimler. He missed the Daimler sill plates however. They say Jaguar. I've been working on her on and off (mostly off) ever since. Getting ready for a repaint now. Taking the windows out to remove door handles, etc. Job and a half. Would love to put a set of 1994-94 XJS wheels on her but haven't found any yet. Put an XJS steering wheel on her and that transformed the feel. Have re-dyed the interior, installed new headliner, rebuilt transmission, fully tuned the engine (although the Strombergs have never been right), have ordered new engine and frame mounts. List goes on and on. Also have a 1989 Mercedes 420SEL that is my daily driver. Bad *** old man's ride.

Welcome to the forum yachtmanbuttson,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
Superb. The XJ Coupes are rare enough but, as Jaguar can't market the Daimler variant in the US, you're unlikely to see another like yours.
Follow this link XJ6 & XJ12 Series I, II & III - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XJ6 Series I, II & III forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Lower Atlantic Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/usa-lower-atlantic-nc-sc-fl-ga-66/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
