Hi,
I recently bought a MY2007 4.2L XKR X150 convertible. It’s my first Jag, and took a while to find - they don’t come up so often in Scotland. I love the car, but it’s had a few niggles from the start (adaptive headlights going skelly-eyed, GPS antenna dying). Fortunately, the expert advice on this forum has allowed me to fix these and today (after 6 days covered in snow) it fired up perfectly with not a single warning light!

Looking forward to membership of the forum and maybe even posting the odd item that others find useful.

Thanks, 8bit. I’ve seen some of your photos (in Cove?) - lovely car. Are you going to the Crieff thing in June? Hope to see you there, perhaps. I’d be interested to hear your replaced mid section exhaust, (in the flesh, so to speak). If I have one disappointment, it’s that my 2007 XKR is a bit quiet - even with ‘active valves’ open. I was thinking a new mid section might fix that just enough that I wouldn’t fall out with my neighbours here in Ferryhill.

Cheers! A guy I met on Pistonheads did take some photos of my car down at Cove harbour, few years ago now and I can't remember where they were posted so it's entirely possible you've seen that. You're welcome to hear the exhaust, only thing is I've also now replaced the back box so you'd be hearing that too.

I should be at Crieff, yes but pop me a PM if you'd like to discuss exhausts meantime. I've also got the Jaguar SDD diagnostic software on a laptop if you need anything like that done.

Surprised I can't hear that from here

That would be really handy. I have the Audio Connectivity Module (ACM) to get USB/iPod functionality to install and it would be very educational to see how to enable that with SDD. When (if ever) the weather improves, I'd like to take you up on that kind offer.

No problem, that's fairly straightforward to do. Pop me a PM once you're ready
