Hi guys! I'm glad to be a part of this forum, it looks very well maintained and spam-free (which is rare nowadays). I live in Durant, OK, and moved here from Vegas. Dad had a 92 XJS V12, and that's what started my love for cars. We worked on that thing almost every time he drove it (it loved to break) but eventually it got totalled by a drunkie. Fast forward to my 16th birthday, I went and bought a 63 Plymouth Valiant. Still restoring it, next bought an 86 Jeep Comanche, and then a 79 Datsun 280zx. About summer last year, however, I saw a jaguar in a field. It was given to me after I visited the old man that owned it almost every week. I've gotten it home and he gave me the holy grail of spare parts as well. Extra taillights, blower motors (8 to be exact) interior panels, instrument clusters, and just about anything you could think of. I know I'm gon to have questions, I've heard that Lucas wiring is troublesome. My day job is working on 70-73 Datsun 240z cars, so I'm familiar with the SU carburetors and some of the quirkiness. Do not know what year the car is, the guy said it was a 63, but the engine looks like a 4.2. Pics coming soon.

Welcome neighbor. A few years ago I saw a black Plymouth Valiant convertible at a car show in nearby Paris, TX. I'm not sure the year model, but it may have been a 63. I never really liked Valiants until I saw that one as it was absolutely stunning with a black top, red interior and some more modern aftermarket wheels. Still had the slant 6, but with go-fast goodies including chromed headers and triple side-draft carbs. That wouldn't be yours would it? Can't be too many Valiants still running around that neck of the woods. Seems like I remember the owner was an older guy probably in his 60s though.

I'm not that old yet . Mine is a hardtop 2 door. I just moved here maybe 8 months ago? And thus thing couldnt go to a car show if it wanted to, just got done welding ALL FOUR floot pans in it. Another reason that I'm excited for the jag. One little patch, tiny road dent repair, and I'm golden as far as bodywork goes. Now the engine and suspension ...
