Hi I’m super excited to join the jag forum. I have a 2004 XJ8 w 191,000 miles! Yes it’s had work done so wondering if anyone has gone longer w these miles for this year of the car!

Welcome. I ticked "yes" in your poll, but it is a "qualified yes"... On the positive side, you know your car and what has been done to it to keep it in good mechanical condition. You should realize, however, that should your car ever get into an accident which results in the insurance company "totalling" the car, well... you are screwed. Personally, you might want to consider taking that $5K and acquiring an XJ-8 with significantly less miles and in better cosmetic condition... they are out there.

Properly cared for a modern engine can go well over 200,000 miles with no major trouble.

I'm not a fan of POLLS on the forum. They are either abused with spoof votes or the results are not helpful. This is a classic example of the latter.
