Hi everyone, I just wanted to say hello to all for this great forum. I just bought a 97 XJS and she is in fantastic shape. I did get stung though on the way home a mysterious fault appeared so she's a non runner now. I will ask for help in the correct slot later. Cheers.

Hello, Dally,
Congratulations on your new XJS! I'm sorry it's had a hair-ball fit already.
Jaguars sometimes to this to new owners to test their "fitness" for ownership. All you need to do is FIX the problem and show the car who's boss.

If you haven't already found your way there, someone will be along shortly to direct you to our XJS section where members can help you get your car well in hand.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Welcome to the forums Dallyb,

Good to have you with us.

I can see you've already found your way to the X300 forum so presume that's a typo in your Intro? The 'HOW TO' thread at the top of the model forum is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Midwest Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-midwest-39/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
