Welcome to the forums Paul,

Good to have you with us and to hear you've found useful information..

As you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum, there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Welcome to the forum Paul,

Good to have you with us.
Enjoy the forum.

If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

I added vehicle details to your Signature yesterday. If you want to change these, your iPhone shows the lightweight forum by default and you will have to change to Full Forum by scrolling down to the bottom.

1. User CP on the left of the black menu bar
2. Your Control Panel
3. Settings & Options
4. Edit Signature

Make whatever changes you want and press Save Signature button at the bottom.

Hi

Many thanks for the help. i have now updated my signature on the site. I gave the XKR a good run today after a big fix job. The hydraulic cable to the top hood latch spouted a leek. My normal garage want over £1500.00 for the repair due to the amount of man hours to dismantle the interior of the car, so with some help from posts on the forum I managed to replace the lines myself for just £159.00!!!. Whilst the car was in bits I've done a major clean of the exterior including carpets and leather work the car looks beautiful. i also learnt a lot about the interior structure giving me confidence to do other jobs in the future.

I'm going to need a new sport mode switch for the centre console I think the part code is LNC6220 BB. I also need a could of new door/hood seals but I'm having trouble locating the part codes for these. If any one could offer any help on obtaining the switch and the part codes for the seals I would be very grateful.

Have a good evening all

Paul,

Technical questions like this should be posted in the relevant model (X100) forum.

Try S N G Barratt for the parts. They also offer a very useful free catalogue download which will help you identify numbers.

Hi Graham

Thanks for all your guidance on getting set up on the forum. I've not used a forum before so just getting used to finding my way around. I've posted again on the XKR Forum and will have a look at the sngbarratt site
