Hi All. Just joined up today and am hoping to be able to discuss all that goes with classic car ownership with like minded people. I acquired my Daimler last February on my 60th Birthday (it was a present, from me to me) and am getting familiar with it fairly quickly, nothing like going into the deep end.

Look forward to the chat

Rory

Thanks Elinor, only 53 years young, the car that is. But even at that age it is a joy to drive, apart from the high revs at the top end, which leads me to ask a question: Has anyone converted from the awful 3 speed Borg Warner to a ZF4hp22 gearbox in the XH66 series 1 to 3. I’m interested in doing this at some stage but for now I’m happy to investigate all items needed for the conversion, including the adaptor plate etc. Perhaps someone may have a drawing for same plus a list of all items required. I have someone lined up to help me do it but all ground prep needs to be done thoroughly in advance.

Liok forward to your replies

Welcome to the Forums.

I have only heard of that being done, never been involved.

Members in the XJ6/12 Series 1,2,3 Tech Section may have more clues.

Nothing is impossible.

Good luck.
