Based North Scotland. Drive xtype 2.5V6 SE AWD is excellent on snow/ice. Best car I have had. Many mercedes in past but baby jag suits me down to the ground. 45k in 7 years with minimal fuss. Loathe to change as such a good car. Tempted after seeing fifth gear review ref Stability control/traction control to move to 2008 XJ diesel but worried will not handle icy roads. any thoughts??

There's some great members here, techs are the best and always plenty going on.....check out the off topic section / detailing section and regional sections too!
The X type rocks, I had the 2.5 Sport...great car and the AWD is awesome. Please check out the XJ section and ask your question there for better results. I know what the North of Scotland is like for snow n ice as I used to be up in Inverness, Fort William, Alness, Aviemore etc regularly!
I've manually upgraded you to Full forum access so you can better enjoy all the sites features
