I am new member from Florida and own a 1999 XJ8 currently with 48000 miles.I use the car only while i am in Florida about 7 months a year and store it in my garage during the summer.Other than the normal maintenance and replacement of the serpentine belt and pinion seal,no other significant work has been done.I am interested in what other issues should concern me and be addressed due to the age of the car etc.I have been reading the threads concerning the tensioners, chains etc. and wondering if they should be replaced. Is there any warning, such as squealing of the belt, that would suggest a problem or should they be checked and replaced if damaged. It is not something i would tackle myself,so is anyone from West Palm Beach or Boynton areas have a good shop for Jag work,i would like to know. Thanks

welcome to the forum, thanks for a nice intro with good info!
Please check out the relevant section ( XJ ) for your ride and you will find good info there, especially in the FAQ quick link thread. The guys will be really helpful too
The off topic section can be fun and there's always the regional section so you can see who is around!
I've manually upgraded you to full forum access so you can better view all the sites features....
