Hi all. I'm a new member to this forum
I've owned loads if Jags in the past. I've had 7 XJ40's, 1 Daimler, 3 X-Types and after a few years without a big Cat I've treated myself to a 2000 XJ8.
Only paid 750 for it with loads if T&T but had suspected head gasket and was over heating.
Always up for a challenge I've taken it on.
Head gasket not gone. Changed water pump, Stat and housing only to fine some one had the 2 small hoses from the header tank on the wrong way round!
So no over heating now, just the heater isn't very good. Luke warm on tick over and slow fan speed but goes cold when fan turned up.
Oh and a ver noisy heater fan.
Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum texaspete,
Seven XJ40's! They didn't last long in our climate.
Follow this link XJ ( X308 ) XJ8 / XJR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the X308 section for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' section at the top of the threads there is a good place to start looking for cooling/heating issues.
Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the UK Region section by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-68/ to find other members in this country.
