Recently purchased a 89 XJ6 Vanden Plas that has a great outside, good inside ... and a "what's gonna happen next" under the hood condition.
This would be my first Jag. So I've gotta lot to learn.
Car has 180,000 miles on it but the engine only has 80,000. Runs smooth. I drive this puppy all over town and lovin every minute of it. I'll post pics soon.
Some advice I need:
1- Which forum should I be looking at for this model?
2- Whats a good parts manual(s)? - I spent a few years training as an airplane mechanic and feel I can just about do anything with an exploded view of a part!
3- Any other advice someone who has "been there" and "done that".
Looking forward to the future with my Jag,
Nathan

Welcome,
1- XJ 40 Forums or General Tech Help Forums are both correct sources for your questions and tips you wanna learn about your ride
2- www.jag-lovers.org namely a good source for Jaguars . Haynes manual for repairs but I can't speak good or bad for it
3-I used to have a '88 XJ40 which was a nightmare .Mineral hydraulic fluid ,suspension parts were unreliable for me .
Other than that it feels special to drive a Jag or been into it
