Hello everyone,
I just registered on your forum. At this time I do not have very much to contribute but I will as time goes by. I live in central Vermont and I am looking at a 1987 V12 XJS convertible to purchase. Actually my search for a vehicle was brought about for the need to have a summer driving vehicle, rather than driving a Mercury Mountaineer during the summer. I started looking around for information regarding the 87 and I came upon your site.
From photos that I have seen the Jag I am looking to purchase looks in reasonably good shape, but who knows until you see it. The asking price is $5000.
I am hoping that I can get some information on the pros and cons of this 26 year old vehicle. And if there is anything that I should be focusing on when I look at this vehicle aside from the usual visual condition.
Are all 1987-88 model convertibles Hess & Eisenhardt Jags?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks much.
Jim
