New member from Arizona, US
Hello,
New member from Sunny Arizona US.
Thought I would drop in and say hi. I have always been a Chevy guy and have quite a few currently, but I am looking at possibly purchasing a 1976 XJS.
Unfortuneatly it has had a 350/350 Chevy conversion done to it so I realize the value to a collector has gone away, but I still think it could be a cool car.
It's a two door with fawn colored interior. Does not appear to be any rust.
Still on the fence as to whether to purchase the car or not.
Anyhow, Hello.

Realistically, it's unusual to find ANY car nearly 40 years old in any running condition at all. How many 1976 Chevys do you see on the streets? Or 1976 Fords? Or Dodges? Or fill in the blank?
Don't feel bad because your car was converted. There were doubtless several Very good reasons that was done at the time.
Just drive your car, and appreciate that you have the best of both worlds: British styling and comfort with American dependability for which parts are readily available, relatively inexpensive, and almost anyone can work on it.
My car was converted nearly 30 years ago and I'm not a bit sorry it was, because I understand Chevys and I can work on it myself.
Welcome from ElinorB.
