HI Everyone! I picked up my Indigo Metallic with Ivory and blue interior 2011 XJL last night. It's amazing and I remain in awe of its beauty and performance. Can't seem to get the SAT radio activated so hoping to find some hints from folks on this forum.
Thanks for having me.

When you are in the car, pull up the satellite radio screen. (Press the BAND) button till it shows SAT1). On the lower part of the that screen, probably in the bottom middle or bottom right, there should be an Options selection. At least i think it's Options (i should remember as i just did this monday, but i've slept since then !). It should bring up that the unit is unsubscribed and will list an ID and the toll free number to call. Once you've got an account created thru them with that radio ID, you should have service within just a few minutes.

BTW, I just activated the Sirius in mine.....I have one month free, and from then can subscribe with monthly, quarterly, yearly, or multi-year service.

Oh also wanted to add in that this is the first time I've subscribed to Sirius. I've had GM vehicles with XM satellite...those times the dealer had activated the free trial, I didn't do a thing until the end of the trial. I don't know if that's the difference between XM and Sirius. Yes, and even tho they 'merged', they definately are NOT the same.

Lucky you! Few of us can afford such such a magnificant automobile. Happy driving and welcome to this most helpful forum. Be sure to share your own experiences, both good and otherwise. And lucky you again, living in Austin, TX. That is, unless you are trying to get a building or other permit from the local government: then democracy always seems to rear it's ugly head: (intended as a joke, not a slam!). Serfiously, Austin is a marvelous city in my estimation.

Default Thank you!

Thanks for the wonderful welcome to the board! I truly do feel blessed to be able to get such an amazing car. The Sat problem turned out to be a software issue which my dealer dealt with, gave me an LR loaner for the day and a nice gift certificate to my favorite restaurant. Happy driving!
