Hi guys! Yup, yet another new guy

I'm here because I came across a very nice looking 1989 XJ6 a while back and, after swapping it for $1500, I drove it home. Just as I pulled into the yard it died on me. Oh, well, it started up again right away and I promptly turned it around and backed it into my shop. Which is where its been since, well, except for a few test drives.

I haven't had much time to work on it yet as I have kids, an older house, a big yard... and I work overseas. Hmm. Every time I'm at work I consider selling it and then when I get home and walk into the shop I change my mind. It's so pretty! Well, on the outside. It does have it's internal issues. 172.000 miles and quite a few years stored in a barn is enough to scar anyone, but the plan is to heal the old lady and get it back on the road.

And that's why I'm here. Nice to meet y'all!

Thanks!

Yeah, kind of a full schedule, but I like to keep busy so it all works out. Did I mention I have a rusty old Ford F250 that I'm fixing up too?

Some of the prettiest country I've ever driven through has been in Arkansas! And Highway 7 out of Hot Springs is the kind of curvy mountain road Jaguars were made for! I once took that highway in a poor handling land-barge of a 1978 Grand Marquis going way faster than was safe. That was the most fun I have ever had behind the wheel of a car!

A late 'Welcome' to Jaguar Forums from me OldKingCole.

I've been away driving my Jaguar across Europe and had no internet access.
