Hello, I acquired my first Jag a week ago and am very pleased with it so far. It's a 1999 XK8 convertible with 84K kms and almost perfect working order with 2 or 3 minor issues thus far. Really looking forward to accessing the vast knowledge I'm finding here already before signing up. Thanks in advance for any assistance I may receive.
PS my other car is a 1977 Pontiac Firebird TA = Firechicken

Thanks for the kind welcome! Really enjoying this car. The weather has been beautiful for top down driving since the purchase and not much to complain about issue wise. I've never owned a convertible before and find it gives a similar feel to my motorcycle but without the bugs in the face...lol.
There are a couple small things of concern, however, that I'd like to try and take care of so the car is 100%. I've done a lot of searching and reading but it appears I may need more specific input from those in the know. I'm a fairly competent mechanic but was schooled in the age of carburetors so this Jag will likely test me well.
I'll move over to the XK forum now and start my quest for help with this stunning car.
