New member in Belgium
Hi everybody,
I purchased my first Jag a month ago, an XJ8 4.2 of 2004, 44.000 kms, only one previous owner who had always and regularly serviced the car by his Jaguer dealer.
The car is on mint condition, apparently origin tyres (P6000 Powergy) that will need replacement soon, especially the front ones which are now noisy.
I just replaced the battery yesterday before my holiday trip in a couple of days, not to face problems en route as I know how sensitive is the car to voltage (the original 2003 battery was already changed once in early 2008).
The car and the engine are a delight to run, smooth, agile, comfortable, I could add so many words! I will use it occasionally (not every day) to avoid issues related to non-use (I have another daily) and will enjoy it during WEs and bigger travels.
I know this car requires attention and care. I have read a lot in forums, this one in particular, thx to everybody. I intend to take a lot of care with it, doing myself as much as I can (at least for checks and easy fixes) and service it for bigger works in a mechanic specialised on Jags and Daimlers that I found out here (through a Jag forum in Europe), hoping not to have to go to the dealer except if issues exceptionally arise that can't be solved by my mech.
I have a problem today of driver's door opening (I posted in the X350 section), hope that I can get help in this forum...
I intend to contribut to this forum's life, bringing my experience and knowledge as far as possible.
Pics will come later

I can see you've already found your way to the X350 tech section so no need for a link from me.
