Default New member but a lifetime Jag lover

Hi,
Im in Australia, sunny Queensland, yes I am a lucky boy.
53 yrs old ,had my first Jag when I was 19, a MK IX. Then a series one.
I got the fetish again when I bought a Rolls and a sprite and a MK 2 came with it a couple of years ago. Then I found a MK IX and swapped my XJS HE for it.
Then I bought a XJ6 series 1 with a factory sunroof, then I got given a series 3 ,no motor. Then I bought a wrecked S type V8 2003 model ( this is a donor car for the Ian Callum project).

Then I could not cut a very good MK IX up to build MY JAG. So along comes another MK IX rusty needs work but had all new chrome, interior (vinyl) new carpets ,hood lining ,rubbers, under lay and a complete set of refurbished wood work. For $5,000 and 2,000 Km return trip it was mine.
My good MK IX is a resto with all the new parts I got.

I am building as my first project, MY JAG, a MK iX 2 door fixed head coupe. Yep , photo's coming.

450mm out of chassis and body. Keeping sunroof too. This one will be a low rider classic but a classic 2 door or convertible is on the list too. (Will get a good car next time as this is a hugemungess job with a rusty body)

The Beast gets series 3 running gear and its close to an XK150/series 3 wheel base too. Every thing will be Jaguar, no compromise. except wheels and a super charger on the 3.8.

So you get the idea Im with you boys, love the Jag, not a purist that parts out unrestorables but still keeps Sir Williams ideas on the road, with my integrity intact.

So great to get feedback and help and help back if I can

Welcome to the forum Supa Steve,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums. Looking forward to seeing photos of your project.

I can see you've already found your way to the Mark V - X 420G tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Thanks to all for the welcome.
I will add some snaps of my MKIX project and the other 2 MKIXs, yep bought another one. Will have a refurbished Burgundy on Majestic maroon on the road next month.

My other passion is the Series 1 (yep I had a silver one too) I have an original with the electric sunroof standard. It has been esculated u the list for a MOD, but it will still be ALL Jag. I will get my son to help me upload photos.

Will start catching up with some Qld members soon. Supa Steve
