New Member from Canada.
Hi all, my name is Eric Rippin and I live in Nova Scotia, Canada. I grew up in the UK and owned a 1961 MK2 3.4 there. I emigrated to Canada in 1971 and sold (to my everlasting regret) the car.
In 1985 I bought a 1978 (reg 1979) Series IIXJ6L It has some series III stuff on it, e.g. fuel injection. I was pretty disgusted with the unreliability and the floor was rusted from a leaking windshield so in 1990 I parked the car in my barn expecting to repair the issues but never got to it and it hasn't been driven since.
Now, twenty four years later I'm retired and have started some refurbishing. The issues are numerous now as you would expect. Apart from the obvious mechanical stuff, the headliner has fallen and the seat leather is perfect but the stitching has deteriorated. I'm not looking at doing a full restoration at the moment, I just plan on getting it drive-able and cosmetically OK first.
My other cars are a 1959 Ford Galaxie (body off restoration) and a 2001 Toyota Solara which I bought new and have never winter driven.

Hi Eric
and welcome from a fellow Canadian. There's a surprisingly large number of us here- quite a few from the Maritimes.
Post up some pics of your car when you have a chance and stop by the Canadian regional section from time to time. If/when winter ever ends we're expecting lots of news on upcoming shows and tours around the country.
