Hello everyone. I am new to South Carolina and new to the forum. I have had my 1973 XJ12 since Christmas 2004, a gift from my wife. She has since regretted it. It has a very clean body but has a lot of upkeep that I have not been able to maintain due to many military deployments. I am now in a position where I am stable with no looming deployments. This month, with the help of my two teenage sons and the internet I have started to give the car some much neglected love. We have started with the front breaks. Not too bad so far, not looking forward to the rear breaks though. After the front brakes I need to rebuild the quadrajet and fix some wiring issues. I'm looking forward to potentially meeting other enthusiasts in the area.

Welcome, I am also new, the wife bought me a 1974 XJ12L with a TPI 350 conversion. Still have to pick it up in North/East Tenn on the 10th, I am at work.. Hope you get it where it needs to be and have fun doing so. Again WELCOME and Happy New Year.

The rears are simple, take the cradle out, do it all, do it correctly, repeat in 20 years. Pads only, are easy in situ after that.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
