Hello everyone,
I am new here. I have a Jaguar X300, straight 6, 3.2, 1995, which I have owned for about 1½ years.
I love the car. It is dual fuel, running on LPG. It was already converted when I bought it.
Forum looks excellent and I'm looking forward to being a part of it.
Andrew.

Welcome to the forums Andrew,

My X300 3.2 Sport was indestructible and I only traded it at 162K miles to have something different. That was an X308 which wasn't so robust!

I can see you've already found your way to the X300 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Thanks for that, Graham. I was wondering how to add the vehicle details to my signature!
Yes, I have heard that the 3.2 is robust!
This car was an eBay impulse-buy... very out of character for me; I usually only have old Citroens and old Italian stuff, of which I own quite a few. The Jag was very badly listed; no mention of the LPG system... so I got it ridiculously cheap, with an MOT... which, only this week, I discovered was a little, er, dodgy... as the front subframe had been filled with expanding foam to hide rust holes, and the sill-to-floor joint was 'repaired' with bodyfiller... what some people will do to sell a car is shocking! Anyway, all the foam is now removed and everything is welded up beautifully again, just done it this week! There is also a steering rack issue to sort, which I will get round to doing shortly.
I replaced the rear shocks when I bought it, but apart from these issues the car is fantastic and performs beautifully. I didn't mind spending the money on such a beauty, as I paid so little for the car in the first place!
Thanks for the lovely welcome :-) .

At one point, Jaguar started specifying the front subframes with foam filling to reduce transmitted noise. However, they (and several owners) discovered this helped to rot them very quickly so they stopped doing it.
