New Member in DFW (Arlington) - Greetings!
Hi everyone,
New guy to the forum, located in North Arlington (DFW).
Years ago my father bought a used 80's XJ6 and, to this day, it is still my favourite car I've ever driven - such a joy to drive, and so gorgeous of a machine. Sadly, because I didn't have access to a great resource as this mistakes were made with maintenance, and eventually my father ended up just throwing up his hands and selling it off because we couldn't keep on top of its repairs. Now, tomorrow morning (4/19/14), I'm going to check out a used "project" '02 X-Type for myself and my sons - hopefully I can strike a deal and this will bring as much joy to them (and me!) as that old XJ6 did, but this time (with you guys and a little luck) for much longer. Perhaps I'll have some photos to post and questions to ask very soon!
Now, off to do some bagpiping at a wedding -
Brad

How many times have we heard this story: 'there was an Xj6 in my family but no one knew how to fix it so it went down the road.' It's a very sad commentary on the state of auto repair facilities in times past and maybe even today.
But you've found this forum and all the knowledge and experience it encompasses.
Welcome from ElinorB.
