New member with an electrical problem

I've owned my 2008 X350 diesel for 13 years mostly trouble free but with a few electrical problems.
Now the key fob does nothing & with the ign. turned on nothing on the dash lights up. I slow charge the battery all night, same thing - nothing electrical at all. Then the alarm goes off.
The battery is still low so I've disconected it & it's still on charge.
Any ideas

Welcome to the forums Paul,
The number one cause of weird electrical manifestations is a failing vehicle battery. They do tend to go from OK one day to useless the next so I'd eliminate this first before looking for more obscure and expensive possible causes.
I can see you've already posted this question in X350 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.
Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.
Enjoy the forums.
