Hi Everyone:
I am a new member to this forum and forums in general.
I am 64 and live in Lenoir City Tennessee. I have been a Jaguar fanatic since I was 12 years old and talked my dad into buying mom (that's code for me) a 1972 XJ6, a drop dead gorgeous sedan to my taste. he kept it 9 months, of which it was at the dealership for 6 thanks to LUCUS Prince of Darkness.
When old enough and financially able I got my own, a 1998 XK8 carnival red with camel interior.
Shortly afterwards I bought a 1969 E-type series II. It educated me WELL when i found out that it was a "frankencar" wrecked in the front (surprise, surprise) and re-assembled with a hodge podge of parts from various series I and II cars. It was a mess. 6 years and $150,000 later its was a thing to behold. unfortunately it was too valuable to drive so i sold it. there is no room in my garage for a trailer queen.
My next was a 2011 XK black on black. a great car but i wanted more, so i started my search for an "R" after much looking I found a 2012 XKR with the racing sports seats and active exhaust. Black w cream leather interior.
As of this past weekend I am now the owner of a 2018 F-type R black on black with white stitching and 9000 on the clock (still under factory warranty). It is loaded and quite a drive.
I am a custom home builder and my cars are my one indulgence. I do have questions and hope i will be able to find people here who have asked the questions before me and communicate with like minded fans of the marque.

Hello, Steve,
Congratulations on your Latest Jaguar! It sounds like you have quite a history with this brand.
I agree. Trailer Queens belong in Museums where people can see them, not cloistered away, Hoarded, in someone's garage never to see the open road again.
Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.
