Hi, I have a 1997 Jaguar XJR, it has done 90k miles, I enjoy driving it greatly. I have had her since Jan 2012 and have been steadily working through routing repairs and upgrades, notably new discs all round, inner driveshaft bearings and stainless exhaust.

My current problem is causing me grief...

Failed MOT due to high CO and hydrocarbons on fast idle, idle level is fine. Have replaced lambda sensors, plugs and all coils.

Currently misfires badly at idle and less so at faster engine speeds.

I have access to code reader, no fault codes..

Hi there and welcome aboard....

Re your problems - an Italian tune up may help you, its cheap and worth a try?

You say you've receplaced the 02 sensors......all of them or just one?
Were they replaced with OEM originals or a cheaper aftermarket part......it could be an issue!

Have you thought of a Terraclean to decarbonise the engine?
Again in may help

I've added a few links below for you to consider

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...ght=terraclean

See the video in the link below and look at around 6m 34secs

Hope it helps

Good luck

Jim
