Default New Member - great forum!

I recently purchased my 2002 XKR and it is without doubt the finest auto, even with 80,000 on the clock, that I have ever even sat in. I've been a guest on this site for the last couple of days and have been immensely impressed by the tech tips and the comeraderie that is evident here. Thanks for allowing me to be here.

Welcome treetop!

I figured steve would ask your occupation, as he enjoys climbing the trees as well.

Default Your welcome matches the temps here in Cave Creek AZ

Thank you all for your nice welcome notes. My name is Mike, but the "Treetopdaddy" comes from a former boss I had years ago who was a little jealous of my height (6'8") and called me that almost from the first day he and I worked together. I think it was originally intended as a kind of insult, but I've kept it now for many years - turned an intended insult into something else. My XKR (silver w/black conv. top) is stunning to look at, to sit in, and to drive. It puts a smile on my face every time I look at it, and driving it is a fantastic daily experience. I will try to post some pix as soon as I figure out how to operate my digital camera. Thank you all again for a terrific site. Mike

I think you, K. Westra and I are all in the treetops with me the shortest at 6' 5".

Intresting...can't ever remember "the shortest" and "me" being used in the same sentence before.

Default xkr is a tight fit

I don't care how tight the fit is; I will never, ever admit that I don't fit in this car!!! We don't go to the dealer to try cars out. We go to try them on, and you wouldn't believe how may makes and models are eliminated that way.....

Mike
