Default New Member Hailing from the Swamp!

Hey guys -

My name is Zachary Ard, and I have recently purchased a fantastic 1999 XJ8 Vanden Plas sedan from a family friend. The car has been well kept, and just recently ticked over 150,000 miles.

I was planning on squaring away the 10,000 mile service, however today I started having a strange issue involving what I think might be the security immobilizer. I have been lurking the forums for a while, but felt that I should probably join as this problem could become a serious issue.

As far as a bit about me - I am 31 years old and located in Southern Louisiana (Cajun Country for sure!) I started and run a performance shop called Acadiana Sports Car Orphanage, where we focus on the development and manufacture of performance products for older vehicles with limited aftermarket support. We started off with mid-80's Japanese vehicles and are slowly branching our way out.

Some of my other vehicles include:

1989 Volkswagen Cabriolet

1988 Nissan 300ZX Turbo RHD (Imported from Japan)

and a 1982 Toyota Carina Turbo (also RHD and imported from Japan)

Thanks for allowing me to join!
-Zack
