Default New Member hello!

Just bought my first Jaguar in a long time ... a very nice 1997 XK8, with 64K.

Previously had a 1968 XKE when I was in High School, then a 67 ... then a '74 12 Cylinder. I did some buying and selling of E-Types in the 80's. Also played around with a couple of XK 140's back in the day.

The one I just bought has a small anti-freeze leak, probably the head gasket?

I also think I need to do a "wheel exchange" and get me some nice chrome wheels!

I've been out of the Jaguar loop for many years, so any advice is surely appreciated!

Welcome to the forum Brian,

You should have kept that XKE - like many of us here!

The XK8 looks very good but I agree with you about the wheels.

Follow this link XK8 / XKR - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the XK8/XKR section for help, advice and information.

Remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User ID button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US North East Region section by following this link North East US - ME NH VT MA RI CT NJ NY PA - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forum.

You're right about that. I actually forgot, I also had a 1969 E Type in the late 80's. I did complete ground up restoration, bright red with saddle interior. Why I ever sold that car, I'll never know!

Thanks for the welcome & I'll start working on those wheels!
