Hey everyone, I'm new to this site. Thanks for adding me. I confess though, I made a few posts before making this intro 😶‍🌫️

What brought me to this site is a 1988 XJS Hess & Eisenhardt that my father-in-law gifted to my wife and I. It's a nice car, 80k miles and has been hiding in a NJ storage unit since about 2001. It was parked due to leaky brake calipers, but otherwise ran great. Now, 22 years later, I've trailered it up to northern NY, and begun the revival process. It has no rust at all, except for a few bubbles where the rear quarters meets the rockers. The injectors are all plugged, the the brake reservoir is full of crystallized/gelatinous fluid, and the in-tank fuel pump draws current but doesn't running. Other than that, it's really in pretty good shape!

I look forward to talking to yall, I've already learned quite a bit from this forum.

Thanks again,
Nate & Marilyn

Welcome to the Forums.

Most of that is normal after 20 years asleep.

Simple enough to sort, slow and methodical is the only way.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Nate and Marilyn,

Good to have you with us.

As you've already found your way to the XJS forum, there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' threads at the top are a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Northeast Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-northeast-35/ to find other members in your region.

Please read the guidance for new members ( https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/n...ned-up-241802/ ) which answers many of the most frequent questions about getting started.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
