Greeting all.
I figured I'd finally drop in and say hello to the community. I joined a while back, but life got in the way! Anywhoo, I picked up a beautiful one owner, always garaged, 2004 XJ8 in BRG. 135k miles with no winters. Not too shabby. I'm not really a green guy, but the wife loves it and it sure looks good detailed!

I recently did an intake reseal and some front upper control arms and outer tie rod ends. A few additional minor services and she'll be tip-top(I hope!)

The Jag is one of 7 Euro cars that we have at the moment, although 4 belong to our son. I maintain them all. I've been told I'm not well

I'll be posting soon about trying to get IDS/SDD up and running soon. Based on what I've gleaned thus far, it surely won't have me scrambling for the anxiety meds! I use VCDS and ISTA/INPA now for my VAG & BMW cars, so I'll at least be able to get through the learning curve fairly quickly.

Hopefully, I wasn't too 'off' with my ramblings. One of my Jack Russells is shrieking at the other one and I think I'm partially deaf now!

Welcome to the Forums.

HA, I had 8 Jags at one stage, 4 were V12's, my friends etc all said the same thing.

Good luck, it is always fun.

Thanks Grant! I've always been a VW/Audi guy until the recent addition of 2 BMWs and the Jag. Hey, at least one of the BMWs is a V12, so I'm already on the way!

Welcome to the forums EuroCollector,

Good to have you with us.

I can see you've already found your way to the X350 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues. You can also use the US Northeast Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-northeast-35/ to find other members in your region.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Hello,
With that many cars to keep fit, your wife will Always know where you are. Tell them That next time someone trash talks your hobby!
As for your son's 4, he could be collecting a lot worse things which this forum is not the place to name.

Welcome to the forums from ElinorB.

Thanks ElinorB!!

So true that she'll always know where I am. To that end, a garage with a lift is going in by summers end, as I'm getting a bit too old for the bending and lifting!

The 'stable', as it currently sits:

2004 XJ8 BRG
2013 VW Toureg
2012 Audi A8
2001 BMW 540i
2001 BMW 750i
2002 Audi S4 Avant

2000 Audi S4 Sedan

My son owns the 3 Audis and the 750. At least he's becoming quite proficient at turning wrenches!
