Have a 71 series 3 XKE that we imported from LA.
Car was running, but plenty of oil leaks ( no risk of rust ), & carby's were a real problem.
The custom cars bods have talked us into fitting a 383 chev motor, more power, less oil leaks, more economical, and more reliable., conversion kit from Johnscars is being sourced, also looking at changing the car from left to right hand drive, better for driving on Australian roads.
The car presents quite well, but will tidied up and resprayed black.

We live at Hervey Bay in Queensland, and also have a very tidy 62 Thunderbird.

Recent retirement gives me more time for playing with our toys.

Greg,

Hope you are enjoying your holiday.

I think you'll get more chance of help with sourcing the required parts by posting in the Series III tech forum.

I'd also recommend removing your personal eMail and telephone number from your Signature. Webcrawlers soon pick up on information like this and you could be inundated with spam. Members can always contact each other by using forum PM's (Private Messages).
