New Member - Hi
Hi, my name is Paul. I just bought a 2001 XK8 convertible, BRG, yesterday with 44k miles on it. I'm an ex-pat Brit , now US citizen, living in Delaware. The car has few minor things which need doing such as a passenger seat recline problem, occasional "ABS/TCS not available" messages, saggy A-pillar fabric, etc. I'm planning to do some of the maintenance work and problem fixing myself so looking forward to being able to glean the wealth of information and expertise on this great forum (and hopefully contributing some as well - even if it's how not do do something).

Thanks, everybody, for all the welcomes!!
Fixed my first problem - passenger seat would recline back but not forward. Thanks to the info on this site and my trusty soldering iron, I repaired a track on the seat controller board and issue was solved.
The seat controller box was loose since the plastic had broken around the two bolts. Solved this, too, by using industrial strength velcro instead of bolts to attach the box under the seat. I think this makes it more resilient to knocks as well.
Non-working headrests next.

I sourced a replacement module lid for my 2005 XK8 but yours is a neat solution and makes it easier to remove if the seat ever sticks and you can't get at the runner fixing bolts.
