Good Morning All,
Been perusing your forums due to a starting problem on my 2000 S. Looks to be the fuel pump. I bought this car new in Aug 2000 - about 31,000 miles on it now. Obviously I don't drive it much and from what I have gleaned from your forums, that may be part of the problem. Interestingly, the fuel pump went bad about a year after I bought it (was replaced by dealer under warranty). This time, with the help of your advice and info, I am going to try it myself.
Have a great day,
WillieG

Welcome to the forum WillieG,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
It's true that the daily drivers seem to have far less electrical issues than the occasional users and 31K in 13 years is certainly light use! I'll bet it's in fantastic condition.
It sounds like you probably already know your way to the tech forum but if not, follow this link S-Type / S type R Supercharged V8 - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the S-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the US Mid West Region forum by following this link Mid West US - IL IN IA MI MN MO OH WI - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.

Thanks to all
I appreciate all the welcoming wishes. Got the fuel pump issue resolved. Now have a new problem. Warning message says "left tailight failed". Pulled the assembly, bulbs are all ok, fuse ok. I guess it won't be simple.
I'll spend time checking the forum to see if any of you have experienced anything similar.
Thanks again.
