Default New member Intro

Dear All,
I'm a 49 year old male who migrated to Far North Queensland, Australia, fifteen years ago from the UK. A qualified Aircraft Engineer of 35 years experience, who has recently purchased myself a 1997 XK8 Coupe, in Aquamarine with a Teal interior. This car was purchased from a friend (ex UK) who imported this into Australia from the UK last March 2015.
The car is immaculate, but as always with older cars there are things which need attention, most of which are minor or improvements.
This is my first Jaguar and I believe to enjoy these older cars and to avoid serious frustrations (not to mention costs) you need to be able to tackle some of the minor items, if not the more complex ones too. I recently installed the JTIS program, which is an excellent aid that has helped me immensely already
Anyhow, I hope to work with you all to contribute and learn more about my car

Regards

XKJoe

A very warm welcome Joe, though I dare say it's warmer down there than it is up here. Enjoy the car and the forum.

Welcome to the forum XKJoe,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the XK8/XKR forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the Australia - Queensland Region forum by following this link Australia - Queensland - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
