Wink New member intro

Hi All,
I live in the UK, and have had Jaguars off and on for the last 30 years, starting with a series 1 1973 Daimler Double Six that I got in 1984. After a few years without, I picked up a nice 1991 facelift XJS V12 (Japanese export version), and have since added a few V8s to the collection, all from 1998. I've got a 3.2 Jaguar and a couple of Daimler Super V8s, one is a rolling restoration and the second is donor for spares.
I have the full set of Jaguar workshop manuals for the XJS with updates to the mid 90s if anyone needs any info.
I'm struggling to get to grips with the need for computer diagnostics on the V8s, rather than a few spanners and a multimeter.
I've attached a few pictures, my XJS, the SV8 on the track at the Cadwell Park circuit, and a C-type that I came across at a show. After I had tried it for size, I discovered that it was originally sold to Fangio himself.

Welcome to the forum cnimike,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

I can see you've already found your way to the X308 forum so there's no need for a link to it from me. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
