Hey there from Dallas Texas. Just bought a new to me 2002 XJR that I am super geeked out about. 1st time I've ever bought via an auction so wasn't expecting it to be perfect, but it's pretty dang close. Just a few minor things to work out. I've also got a 2018 F-type base, which I absolutely love. Now I've got my "go have fun car" and my "date night" car, to go along with my daily driver F-150.
All the best....
All the best....

Welcome aboard. Now that you've got a proper classically styled Jaguar
, some local links you might like to bookmark:
The local Jaguar owners club, monthly socials, just missed the annual concours a couple weeks ago, great resource if you need local shop recommendations or a third hand. Jaguar Owners Association of North Texas
This next group puts on what I think is the most pleasant annual European car show in the region each October at the TCC South Campus to raise money for scholarships for auto tech students. Its a hidden gem of a location that you'd never suspect so you don't get any of the baby stroller crowd or riffraff that wander into a Cars and Coffee or typical parking lot show. Nobody knows its there except for us serious gearheads. Red River Triumph Club
And over on the Dallas side, usually the first weekend of May or last weekend of April, there's a big event at White Rock Lake.
All British and European Car Day
And usually around Holloween each year, the British Emporium in Grapevine hosts a nice little British car show. British Emporium
Sadly, its starting to get a little hot for car shows in July, but by mid-September its starts to cool off a bit. I don't know if you're of the age, but I always take advantage and get my free PSA test annually at the Wheels for Wellness Car Showin downtown Fort Worth. Back in 2005 I sold a Toyota Supra to a guy who subsequently showed it at this event, got his PSA test while there and they called him a few days later imploring him to go to his doctor immediately. Turned out he had an aggressive tumor and had no idea because there were no symptoms other than what they advertise supplements for on television and you might think is just getting old. What better excuse to get you to go get screened for cancer than a car show.....
